Politics being played on naming the Freeway without bothering about question why its utility been deprived from average middle class of Mumbai with just 8 BEST frequency during entire day and restricting middle class man who uses two Wheeler or even use by heavy vehicles for which it was exclusively designed and once heavy vehicles start using freeway, it would reduce congestion on many other city roads.
Even Palm beach road of Navi mumbai, does not have heavy vehicles entry but still two Wheeler r allowed on it, though all accidents that have been cause on this road till date have been due to rash and negligent over-speeding cars. The logic of this ban on freeway is irrational. All Indian roads have sigh board of higher speed limit including Palm beach, Mumbai Pune Express way, JJ flyover but still why authorities, wish to promote unquestioned high speed which would promote rash and negligent driving on freeway. Even if one assumes the official figures of 24,000 using freeway to be correct still it is much under utilization of its official capacity.
Will AAP which always stand different from other political parties who get into dirty vote bank politics, protest on Freeway issue and throw it open for two Wheeler, a protest based on arguments of utility and logic ? Is this decision to have exclusive use for only cars somewhere related to the MLA personal frequent visits to their home town by car, so wish to have freeway for exclusive car users use at very high speed ? aam aadmi party
